Wedding Receptions, Bridal Showers, Holiday Parties & Catered Events
It was about two years ago that this column visited the Fireside Inn in Baldwinsville. It had been newly renovated, and the owners were excited to show off its many beautiful details – everything carefully considered to make the venue the ideal place for a party, wedding, special event, or just dropping by for dinner and live music.
Revisiting the location is a delight, as it’s everything we covered then, and more. The spacious location virtually sparkles, with elegant wall sconces, delicate chandeliers, and elegant area lights – a feature specifically chosen to transform the space into whatever is needed for the occasion. All the lights change color to match the theme of a party or wedding and can be soft and romantic, or bright for a festive occasion.
Every detail of the two-story venue is designed for your comfort and creativity. The normal limit – from a small gathering set aside during the Fireside’s Thursday and Friday night retail hours to a 250 guest wedding, or a 350+ person event – is simply what you want to make your event a success. The Fireside Inn is meticulously crafted to please. An elevated stage, equipped with sound and lights, dominates one wall, so performances, music, awards, and celebrations can be showcased. A dance floor doubles as a space to mingle, and a long, long bar welcomes guests for quick and easy service.
The decor is subtly gracious, designed to work for the most formal wedding, or easily adapt to a trade show or business event. Several fireplaces lend a cozy feel to sections of the large room – and live up to the promise of the venue’s name, and a piano sits near the bar waiting to provide a musical backdrop to your evening. An elevated, sectioned off space doubles as a head table area for a large wedding, or a buffet area as needed.
Food for events is selected with care. As it was explained to us, some dishes are excellent for buffets, and others are best for table service. To ensure your dining experience, The Fireside Inn will help you select the perfect menu for the occasion.
Up above is a second dining area with a bar, a smaller, more intimate area – but with a view of the larger room below, so the spaces can be either private or combined, depending on your needs. Large windows face the Seneca River on one side, providing a seasonal view that’s as beautiful in summer as it is in fall and even when the snow flies.
Typically, the Fireside Inn is open for retail guests on Thursday and Friday evenings. The dine-in menu features such delicacies as Chicken Francoise, Prime Rib, and hearty selections like Chicken Riggies and Fireside Burgers, and the take-out menu is sure to offer something for everyone at your table.
As we wait out this unusual time, the Fireside is happy to do what it can to help its friends and patrons in Central New York make special occasions as relaxed and fun as possible – with delicious foods, great service, and a style that’s hard to match. While the venue has a full calendar of events booked for the coming year, let Joanne know your needs, and she’ll do her best to assist. The Fireside also caters to small events off-site, so call now to discuss a holiday party.
And be sure to take advantage of those dine-in or take-out hours on Fridays. Our job, as patrons, is to keep our local restaurants as busy as we can, so we can all celebrate together when the restrictions lift!
