We visited Euclid Restaurant on a sunny Wednesday with our two kiddos, and it was an experience to remember. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by the warm, nostalgic yet updated decor that reflects the rich history of the establishment, which has been serving the community since 1817. Originally built by Col. William Coon, the restaurant has been through many changes but remains a beloved gathering place for locals and travelers. We love that the Euclid also offers amazing daily specials, a senior menu as well as a Kiddie Korner menu!
Our meal was nothing short of fantastic. We started with the Euclid Fried Combo, a perfect appetizer to share. It was a delightful assortment of crispy fried mushrooms, mozzarella cheese sticks, chicken strips, onion rings, and golden fried clam strips, each bite bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The portion size was generous, ideal for sharing and whetting our appetites for the main course. The kids could not get enough of the chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks! For the main course, Kyle opted for the Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef. The prime rib was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It was served with a side of golden fries that were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, alongside a fresh salad topped with creamy ranch dressing. The dish was a perfect balance of hearty and satisfying, with the prime rib melting in his mouth with each bite. I also had a few bites and they were absolute perfection. It is undeniable that the Prime Rib at the Euclid is out of this world and consistently fantastic.
I chose the Fresh Broiled Scallops, and they did not disappoint. The scallops were large and broiled and perfectly seasoned, yet they remained tender and succulent inside. The dish came with a side of fries and a salad that I topped with a mix of Italian and blue cheese dressings, which added a tangy, rich contrast to the delicate sweetness of the scallops. Every element of the dish was thoughtfully prepared and presented, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. For dessert, we couldn’t resist trying both the apple pie and the peanut butter pie. The apple pie had a flaky, buttery crust filled with perfectly spiced apples that tasted like a warm embrace of comfort. The peanut butter pie was a decadent slice of heaven, creamy and rich with just the right amount of sweetness. Sharing these two desserts was the perfect way to end our meal, leaving us satisfied and eager to return.
