The Fireside Inn

If you think you know the Fireside Inn in Baldwinsville – don’t be too sure! If you haven’t stopped by recently, step inside, and prepare to be delighted.

As one of its owners and partners, Fran Fiorito (whose partner is Stanley Dombroski) walked me through the spacious building, turning on beautiful wall sconces, sparkling chandeliers and elegant area lights as we toured, he explained that the facility had been renovated completely to create the event space of your dreams. “The lights can all change color,” he told me. “Whatever your theme or colors, the lights can match.”

The renovated facility is meticulously crafted to please and create the event space of your dreams.

Every detail of the two-story venue is designed for your comfort and creativity. The limit —from a small gathering set aside during the Fireside’s Thursday and Friday night retail hours, to a 250 guest wedding, or a 350+ person event— is simply what you want to make your event a success. The Fireside Inn is meticulously crafted to please. An elevated stage, equipped with sound and lights, dominates one wall, so performances, music, awards and celebrations can be showcased. “One couple was married on that stage,” said Fiorito. “And we’re looking into comedy evenings and dinner theater.” A dance floor doubles as a space to mingle, and a long, long bar welcomes guests for quick and easy service. The decor is subtly gracious, designed to work for the most formal wedding, or easily adapt to a trade show or business event.

A view of the bar and banquet room lit by the stunning chandeliers.

Several fireplaces lend a cozy feel to sections of the room – and live up to the promise of the venue’s name, and a piano sits near the bar waiting to provide a musical backdrop to your evening. An elevated, sectioned off space doubles as a head table area for a large wedding, or a buffet area as needed.

“We’re careful to help you with food selections,” Fiorito explained. “Some dishes are good for buffets, and others are best for table service. We want to be sure that every dish is perfect, so we’ll work with you to plan your menu.”

Up above is a second dining area with bar, a smaller, more intimate area – but with a view of the larger room below, so the spaces can be either private or combined,
depending on your needs. Large windows face the Seneca River on one side, providing a seasonal view that’s as beautiful in summer as it is in fall and even when the snow flies.

Next door to the event space is a small motel complex, each room boasting a jacuzzi tub and cozy fireplace.

“Our vision was to be grand, elegant, and unique. Our event menu is what you want. We’re asked what we’re noted for, and our answer is – what do you want and like? We’re equipped to provide a wide range of foods, and to handle everything from a wedding to a party, meeting, show, or banquet.”

On Thursday and Friday evening the Fireside opens for retail guests, and will reserve special spaces for your smaller party or group. Its menu features delicacies like Chicken Francaise and Pan Seared Salmon with Maple Dijon Sauce, and Prime Rib, as well as Syracuse staples like Chicken Riggies or a Fireside Burger. Check the website (www.firesidecny.com) or their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Fireside-Inn-Baldwinsville-1630539846964825) for music, as well as special themed party evenings, like the recent Christmas Party with Dan Elliot and the Monterays – and the 1st Annual Ugly Sweater Contest!

The Fireside will also cater events off-site: breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, tray-passed hors d’oeuvres, or elegantly plated meals.

To create your next memorable event, call and “ask for Joanna.” The Fireside Inn work with you to make your event everything you imagined – and more!
