Abbiocco isn’t just about food – it’s about the experience. The seasonal menu ensures there’s always something fresh and exciting to try, from their hand-tossed pizzas to unique craft cocktails and shareable appetizers. Abbiocco by A Mano is a culinary treasure that strikes the perfect balance between elegance and warmth. For five years, the Fiacchi family wowed the community with A Mano Kitchen and Bar, and now, with Abbiocco, they’ve taken their passion for Italian cuisine to an entirely new level. Inspired by classic trattoria, semi-casual Italian eateries known for traditional dishes and regional specialties, Abbiocco is a heartfelt celebration of rustic Italian cooking. Every dish tells a story, and every detail of the restaurant feels like an invitation to sit back, savor, and enjoy life the Italian way.

We visited on a snowy January evening, and the magic began as soon as we walked through the door. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft lighting, rustic décor, and a friendly buzz of conversation that instantly made us feel at home. It was a rare date night for us – we’d gotten a babysitter for the kids – and we were quickly seated at a cozy table for two, setting the stage for a night to remember. One thing that always sets Abbiocco apart from others is their truly incredible staff.  Even though the restaurant was busy, our amazing server Michael and his assistant Hailey were instrumental in making sure we felt like we were the only table in the whole restaurant!

To start our culinary adventure, we chose two appetizers that were as stunning to look at as they were to taste. The fried calamari was perfectly crisp, served with a long hot agrodolce that added a sweet subtle kick, and a luscious lemon aioli that tied the dish together beautifully. We also tried one of the evening’s specials: shrimp toast. Imagine toasted focaccia bread topped with large, succulent prawns and drizzled in a rich scampi sauce. It was the perfect blend of textures and flavors – each bite a little taste of heaven. Before I forget, I must mention the fresh bread that is delivered to every table. This evening they boasted two types of house-made butter – a sweet raisin argo and a savory black garlic. It was honestly hard not to fill up on bread but so worth it to wait for the other courses!

For my entrée, I couldn’t resist the Thursday-night gnocchi special – Giovedi Gnocchi, housemade potato gnocchi served in a seasonal sauce. Tonight’s offering of gnocchi was everything you’d dream they’d be: impossibly light and pillowy, served with sweet, melted red onions, tender chunks of squash, and a drizzle of velvety cream sauce. It was the kind of dish that warms your soul and lingers in your memory long after the last bite. Kyle, on the other hand, was drawn to the special bone-in ribeye, and it did not disappoint. This dish is a steak lovers dream and you should absolutely order it! This massive cut of steak was cooked to perfection – juicy and tender, with just the right amount of sear. The fennel pollen added a delicate, aromatic touch, while the bright salsa verde brought a zesty contrast. Accompanied by twice-fried potatoes that were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, it was a show-stopping dish that was generous enough to share.

Dessert was the crowning glory of the evening. I chose the pistachio mousse, which was light, creamy, and bursting with nutty richness. Meanwhile, Kyle opted for the homemade bread pudding, served warm with a drizzle of decadent brown butter sauce. Each bite felt like a warm embrace – the perfect way to end our perfect meal.
