An Honest Review: I Tried Good Molecules

One day last summer I looked into the mirror and hardly recognized myself. My face was puffy and textured, and breakouts seemed covered in breakouts.

I’d never known what it was like to struggle with acne growing up. During my adolescence, I would get one single pimple, only once a month, in the same place. I never really felt self-conscious about my skin. The facial routine was usually a simple step: water.

I was surprised when I realized this would no longer be my reality. My face now seemed filled with pimples and I had no clue what to do about them. I used pimple patches, but leaving the house with more than two on my skin, made me feel even more self-conscious.

I tried washing my face with a facial cleanser because I thought that my pores were clogged by sweat from the summer heat. I broke out even more after using the soap. I had no clue what to do but grew desperate after noticing that no matter what treatments I put on my skin, my skin continued to break out.

I saw Good Molecules being promoted on TikTok and of course, I scrolled through the ad immediately. Influencers have a notorious reputation for misleading their followers and convincing them to buy whatever products they’re promoting so I disregarded the content.

That was until I saw an ad from Good Molecules with before and after pictures of a customer who had begun using their products six months prior. It caught my attention, so I started researching the brand, honest reviews, and ingredient lists.

I was impressed by what I saw. They did not promise perfect skin, but the ingredient list and the reviews I saw gave me hope that these products would help heal and balance my skin.

I ordered their Blemish Scar & Discoloration Set, which includes a 4 oz. toner and an ounce of the discoloration serum. The set came out to almost $28 after delivery fees were added.

In buying this set, I wanted it to heal the most inflamed and discolored parts of my face. Within two weeks, I not only noticed how it gave my skin such vibrancy, but it also started to fade my acne scars.

I went from being a super skeptic to being an absolute believer.

My skin is imperfect, but I have fewer breakouts and the scars are still fading.

After seeing the results of the discoloration set, I wanted to try more products. I recently started using their Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel and my once-dark eye bags are gone. I also bought and tried their Gentle Retinol Cream and have not been able to notice any huge change in my skin.

Good Molecules offers cruelty-free, vegan products at a competitive price. As a college student and a self-proclaimed minimalist, I keep my skincare routine as simple as I can. This skincare line seems to do the trick.
