We went to Firekeepers on a mild January Friday for dinner. We were immediately greeted by our friendly waitress and sat in a comfy booth. We decided to start with the Firekeepers Sampler with chicken tenders, onion rings, and cheese sticks. The batter that was used was light and wonderful. For our entires I had the fresh haddock dinner, it was fried with a cracker crumb topping and lots of flavor. My entrée was served with a huge portion of fries and freshly cooked broccoli. Keri decided on the NY Strip steak, a generous 12 oz portion cooked to perfection and topped with crispy onion rings, served with fries and broccoli. We definitely had to go containers but upon the suggestion of our server we decided we had a little room for dessert. I had a heaping slice of the banana cream pie with a light and flack crust topped with banana and cream goodness. Keri had a slice of the raspberry pie that was the perfect mixture of sweet and tart and a fantastic way to end a meal. The entrees were very good but the pie is something to write home about!
In short, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and the food is nothing short of scrumptious. Be sure to save room for dessert because it is unbeatable. Check them out on Facebook or better yet, stop in to Firekeepers Restaurant today and you can thank me later!
