Kyle, the kids and I arrived at Pasta’s on the Green on a warm Monday evening and we couldn’t help but notice how the sun really helped wake up the neighborhood and the golf course was packed with people getting in their first rounds of the season. Although there were plenty of people in the restaurant that had just left the course, we were still seated at a comfortable table where we could enjoy Classic Vinyl playing on the speakers. Our server, Taryn, was super attentive and made sure we were cared for our entire meal. Our culinary journey began with an explosion of flavors in the form of the Utica Greens. Imagine tender escarole mingling with fiery hot cherry peppers and savory Italian sausage, all harmonizing to create a symphony of spice that dances on your palate. And the sampler platter? It was a carnival of delights, featuring golden-brown chicken tenders, crispy mozzarella sticks, breaded mushrooms, and onion rings – all served with an array of tantalizing dipping sauces that elevated each bite to new heights.
Now, onto the main event. Kyle opted for the legendary Philly Cheese Steak End-loaded sandwich, affectionately known as the “Sangweech.” Picture this: succulent steak mingling with caramelized peppers, onions, mushrooms, and gooey provolone, all nestled within a crusty Italian loaf, accompanied by a mountain of perfectly crisp fries. It was a carnivore’s dream come true. As for me I decided to keep riding the spicy wave after the Utica Greens. I embarked on a flavor adventure with the Hot Pepper Burger – a half-pound Angus beef patty crowned with a fiery array of hot pepper rings, jalapenos, and cherry peppers, all crowned with creamy blue cheese. The marriage of heat and creaminess was a revelation, each bite bursting with bold, unforgettable flavors.
