Syracuse Nationals Returns Bigger Than Ever for 2026

For more than a quarter-century, the Syracuse Nationals has been a summer tradition for car enthusiasts from across the country. What started as a regional gathering has grown into one of the largest car shows in the Northeast, attracting thousands of show vehicles, hundreds of vendors, and automotive fans of all ages. Now entering its 26th year, the event returns to the New York State Fairgrounds Thursday July 16th to Saturday, July 18th with exciting new attractions, expanded entertainment, celebrity appearances, and plenty of horsepower.

This year’s event kicks off with an all-new Thursday night celebration called Horsepower After Hours. Taking place from 5pm to 9pm in the Midway lots, the party will feature Modern Muscle Dyno demonstrations, Stereo Wars, a Lowrider Hydraulic Throwdown, Nitro car fire-ups, live music from The Arcade, and a spectacular flame-throwing finale. Admission after 5pm on Thursday is just $5, making it the perfect way for local fans to experience the excitement of Nationals weekend.

One of the most anticipated additions for 2026 is a special collection of iconic television and movie vehicles. Fans will have the opportunity to see legendary rides including the cast-signed DeLorean from Back to the Future, Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, and KITT from Knight Rider. The beloved American Motor Drome Company Wall of Death also makes its return, bringing one of the most thrilling and unique attractions in motorsports back to Syracuse.

Families will find more to enjoy than ever before. Kids can get behind the wheel in the new Power Wheels Racing experience, while racing enthusiasts can test their skills on cutting-edge GTR racing simulators inside the Expo Center. Throughout the fairgrounds, guests will discover interactive exhibits, specialty displays, demonstrations, and activities designed to entertain visitors of every age.

The Syracuse Nationals has always been about more than just cars. Live music will fill the fairgrounds throughout the weekend with performances from dozens of regional favorites, creating a festival atmosphere that keeps guests entertained all day long. Combined with great food, shopping, vendors, and automotive displays, the event delivers something for everyone.

Celebrity appearances continue to be a fan favorite. This year’s lineup includes Mike Hall and Avery Shoaf from Netflix’s Rust Valley Restorers, automotive influencer Georjah Erin, custom car personality Candy N Chrome, Academy Award-nominated actress Candy Clark of American Graffiti, and renowned fantasy artist Ed Beard Jr.

For registered show car participants, the excitement extends beyond the show field. Thanks to partnerships with Eagle Performance, Chevy Performance, and Blueprint Engines, two lucky participants will drive home brand-new engines during the event. Participants must be registered and present to win.
