Syracuse Wine Festival
If you didn’t already know, New York State tastes GREAT!
If you could travel from one end of this beautiful state to the other, sampling every winery, gourmet food producer, specialty shop, distillery, snack store – oh, and listen to some music, play board games, paint a picture and maybe dance a little, all in one day, would you be game?
It will be all there waiting for you on April 19th at the Syracuse Wine Festival – this year at the BIG new location, the Syracuse Oncenter in the heart of downtown Syracuse.
The event producers, Tim and Jenny Cianciola of Craftproducers, traveled across the state, and beyond, bringing the best-of-the-best in craft produced drinks and delicacies all together in one place so that you can meet, mingle, taste and enjoy the flavors of New York.
The idea behind a very carefully planned and produced festival is simple: fun!
So if YOUR idea of a good time is tasting a wide array of wines, hard cider, spirits and specialty drinks, there are dozens of options to choose from, and producers are eager to pour their beverages and share their stories.
If you like the idea of a taste-bud tour of everything from popcorn and chocolate to gourmet cheeses, jerky and pesto – just stroll through the Oncenter and sample.
And if you like some entertainment with your tastings, the Syracuse Wine Festival has some options. You can try one, or enjoy them all!
Popular Syracuse DJ Tom Soccocio, Jr., owner of Perfect Sounds DJ Music Entertainment, will be queuing up tunes from the 80s, 90s, through current hits, so you can listen and dance. And while you listen, step into the photo booth, dress up with costumes and props, and you’ll have the day on record.
You can challenge friends and acquaintances to a round of checkers or chess, or sip, snack and relax with another popular board game.
And this year Bobby Padilla of Roc Paint Sip will help you channel your inner Van Gogh as you create a masterpiece commemorating the day. Padilla’s mission is “to bring people together to celebrate and make memories through painting.” And that mission of celebration and making memories fits in perfectly with the Wine Festival!
And for a special “this-event-only” price, Astrologer The Temperamental Goddess will offer you inside information written in the stars. Peek into your future, while you enjoy the now! And she will offer a variety of cosmically themed specialty items for you to purchase.
And as always, you can shop your way through the event, purchasing bottles and bags of your favorites – and they’ll be waiting for you at a designated pick-up spot for easy carry home.

There are two sessions plus a VIP and Designated Driver option.
Session 1 ($30): 1pm-4pm
Session 2 ($35): 6pm-9pm
VIP ticket ($40): 5-9pm
Designated Driver tickets available at the door for $10, and all non-alcohol tastings and free activities come with the ticket.

Included with your ticket is unlimited sampling of the wines, spirits, ciders and specialty food and drink options offered by participating vendors. There will be full meals and beverages for sale (not included with the ticket price), presented by the caterers at the Oncenter.
