It is finally time to celebrate summer! There is no better way to enjoy the weather than sitting outside, munching on great food, sipping an ice cold beer, and listening to awesome live music. If you agree then it’s time for you to head over to Woody’s Jerkwater Pub, conveniently located at 2803 Brewerton Rd in Mattydale (across from Kmart). They are open daily from 11:30 am to 2 am. There is always something fun happening at Woody’s. Come in on Wednesdays for Party in the Plaza (Kmart Plaza that is). Every Wednesday from 6 to 9pm you can join the party with great bands and DJ’s on the deck playing your favorite rock songs all summer long! Woody’s has teamed up with two great sponsors for Party is in the Plaza. 95x has helped bring a great line up of bands including My So Called Band (July 1), Stone Soul Foundation (July 15), Hairband Riot (July 29), Shotline (August 12) and Dome with Civil Servants (August 26) so you know the music with rock! The only way to make this any better is to add ice cold beer so Woody’s has teamed up with Labatt. Enjoy the music on the deck or in the parking lot while sipping on ice cold 16oz cans of Blue, Blue lite, and Coors Lite for just $4 during the party! There will be prizes and giveaways every week and you can enter to win the grand prize- a Labatt Blue kayak! The bottom line is if it’s Wednesday then you should be at Party in the Plaza! Thursday’s at Woody’s is Throwback Thursday sponsored by 92.1 and Budweiser! Come down to Woody’s on Thursdays from 6 to 9pm and listen to your favorite throwback oldies while enjoying $4 cans of Bud and Bud Lite and 50 cent wings. On Fridays all summer long Woody’s will be featuring live music on the deck from 6 to 10pm. On Fridays and on Saturdays put on your dancing shoes and join them from 10pm to close with an awesome DJ playing all of your requests. At Woody’s they know that summer is too short to wait for a drink and for this reason they have 3 fully stocked bars (two inside and one outside) so you’ll never have to wait for a drink!
Woody’s has some of the best prices in town on their huge selection of beers and spirits and these get even better at happy hour! At Woody’s happy hour runs from noon to 7 daily with 50 cents off all drinks. They have 16 beers on tap pouring all of your favorites including craft beers and seasonal brews. Right now you can enjoy Southern Tier IPA, Beak and Skiff 1911 Cider, Ithaca Daydreamer, Sam Adams, Great Lakes, and Angry Orchard on tap!
You already know that Woody’s has great drinks and great music but did you know that they also have fantastic food? To start, Woody’s has some of the best wings in town and even took first place at the Chicken Wing Festival! Their burgers are all sirloin and completely delicious. Try the Big Woody Burger with two fresh half pound patties of fresh sirloin beef topped with two slices of American cheese, two onion rings, lettuce, and tomato. You also can’t go wrong with the El Castor Cuban Sandwich with grilled Cuban style ham, Swiss, pulled pork, and pickle sandwich with dijon mustard and their freshly smoked pulled pork is some of the best around. Woody’s knows that to make great food you need a great foundation and that is why all of their bread and rolls are delivered fresh from Geddes Bakery. They have great lunch specials from 11:30am to 2pm with $5 wraps, tenders, sandwiches and salads; and burgers and fish are only $6!
