What really sets 317 apart from others is the use of Executive Chief Rich Kinter’s use of fresh local ingredients. As a matter of fact, he actually hand selects the ingredients at the farmers market and from local farmers. He masterfully uses these local ingredients to create new and inventive flavor combinations that are sure to excite and delight any diner! They have lunch and dinner specials that change daily depending on what the chef creates! Their lunch menu includes fresh salads such as the Beet & Microgreen Salad (With Fig Goat Cheese & Citrus White Balsamic Reduction) and sandwiches like the 317 Chicken Salad (Chef’s Famous Chicken Salad with Leaf Lettuce, Beefsteak Tomatoes, and served on a Multi-Grain Roll) and the Steak & Potatoes (Petite Filet Mignon, Field Greens & Rosemary Roasted Potatoes). Be sure to pair your lunch with their mouthwateringly delicious Rosemary Fries. When you are having dinner at 317 you have to start with one of their outstanding appetizers like Goat Cheese Plate (Lively Run Goat Cheese infused with Buckwheat Honey, Fig & Lively Run Finger Lakes Gold, served with Artisan Crackers), the Wagyu Beef Ravioli (with Black Truffles, Mushrooms and Demi Glace), or Tuna Tartare (Sushi Grade Yellowfin Tuna lightly marinated in lime juice with English Cucumber & Avocado and garnished with Wasabi and Crispy Shallots). Entrees include enchanting selections such as 317 Pot Roast (Slow Roasted Pot Roast with Port Wine Demi-Glace, Roasted Potatoes, Shallots, Carrots, Celery & Parsnip Puree), Duck (Duck Leg Confit with Marinated Roasted Bell Peppers & Shallots. Served with our 20 Grain Rice Pilaf and Shaved Asparagus), and Pasta (Fresh Lobster Claw Meat & Jumbo Shrimp tossed with Fresh Homemade Pasta and lemon white wine sauce)

IMG_0847My friend Keri and I went to 317 on a sunny Friday afternoon. Although some diners were enjoying lunch at the charming tables on the sidewalk, we decided to dine inside. We were promptly seated at a cozy table next to the large window overlooking the sidewalk. We decided to start our meal with an order of 317 Kettle Chips (Purple Potatoes, Gorgonzola, Bacon & Chives and served with a side of Ranch) They were crispy and delicious! I decided to have a cup of the soup of the day, a tasty vegan vegetable soup, and a House Salad (Field Greens tossed with Blueberry Pomegranate Vinaigrette, Cranberry Goat Cheese, Almonds, Golden Raisins & Grape Tomatoes). To make things more interesting I had the salad topped with calamari. This was an excellent option that I would not have thought of before! Keri also wanted to try something a little different so she went with the Duck Bacon “BLT” (Duck Bacon with Leaf Lettuce, Beefsteak Tomatoes & Basil Aioli) and rosemary fries. The duck bacon added a new element of innovation to an old classic favorite and the rosemary fries alone were worth the trip!
