Dating back to its founding in 1817 as the Euclid Hotel and Restaurant, this charming landmark has stood the test of time, evolving with the changing needs of its patrons while retaining the timeless charm and character that have made it a local treasure. From its origins as a humble inn to its current incarnation as a bustling dining destination, The Euclid has remained a steadfast presence in the lives of Clay residents and visitors alike. One step inside The Euclid, and you’re greeted with the warm embrace of history. The original structure, built by Col. William Coon, still stands proudly, (albeit with a very recent update) a testament to the enduring craftsmanship of generations past. Over the years, the building has seen its fair share of transformations and renovations, yet it has always remained true to its original purpose: providing a welcoming haven for travelers and community members alike.

But it’s not just the history that draws people to The Euclid – it’s the promise of exceptional dining experiences that keep them coming back time and time again. Families from Clay, Liverpool, Syracuse, and beyond flock to the doors for the Euclid’s renowned family-style dining, where everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, feels right at home. The “Kiddie Korner” menu, featuring complete meals starting at just $5.95 for kids under 10, ensures that even the littlest diners are well taken care of. And for their esteemed senior guests over 65, there is even a special menu that offers a selection of dishes tailored to your tastes! But it’s the Euclid’s culinary offerings that truly set them apart and is truly the reason they have stood the test of time. From their expertly prepared fresh fish specials to the mouthwatering prime rib, each dish is a labor of love, crafted with care and attention to detail. And with Lenten Fridays and St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, there’s never been a better time to indulge in the Euclid’s specialties. Whether you’re craving fish for Lent or a classic Rueben sandwich to celebrate St. Paddy’s, we’ve got you covered.

From the moment we stepped through the door on that snowy Thursday, we were greeted by the warm ambiance and welcoming atmosphere that defines this beloved establishment. Our server, Kellan, was an absolute gem – attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He guided us through the extensive offerings with ease, making thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes and preferences. As we settled in, Kyle and I couldn’t help but marvel at the array of mouthwatering appetizers before us. The Euclid Fried Combo was a feast for the senses, featuring an enticing assortment of crispy delights including mushrooms, mozzarella cheese sticks, chicken strips, onion rings, and Breaded Garlic Cheese Curds. Each bite was a symphony of flavors and textures, leaving us eager for more. The kids absolutely devoured the cheese sticks and chicken strips! For our entrées, we indulged in the Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef and the Fried Seafood Platter – a true seafood lover’s dream. The prime rib was tender, succulent, and cooked to perfection, while the seafood platter boasted an impressive selection of fish, scallops, clam strips, and shrimp, all expertly fried to golden perfection. Every bite was a revelation, showcasing the impeccable quality and craftsmanship that defines The Euclid’s culinary offerings. And as if that wasn’t enough, we couldn’t resist sampling some of the delectable desserts on offer. The homemade peanut butter pie was a heavenly delight, with its creamy filling and rich peanut butter flavor, while the cheesecake topped with cherries was a decadent finale to an unforgettable meal.

And let’s not forget about the Euclid’s event spaces, perfect for gatherings of all sizes. Whether you are planning an intimate dinner party for 35 or a grand celebration for 100, the banquet rooms at The Euclid provide the ideal setting for any occasion. Don’t forget that, with their convenient To Go service, you can enjoy your favorite Euclid dishes from the comfort of your own home.

In summary, The Euclid Restaurant isn’t just a place to eat – it’s a destination steeped in history, flavor, and community spirit. So why wait? Come join the Euclid Family and experience the magic of The Euclid for yourself. You’re always welcome at the Euclid.
