Dublin’s

If there is one holiday that Syracuse takes the most seriously it’s St. Patrick’s Day. We come together, decked out in green in the sun, rain, or snow and celebrate our city’s rich Irish heritage on a day where everyone is Irish. With plenty of parking, great prices, and awesome food Dublin’s is your St. Paddy’s Day headquarters. They are open for lunch, dinner, and late night seven days a week and the best part is that at Dublin’s it’s always St. Patrick ’s Day!

My friend Derry and I arrived at Dublin’s on a blustery February night. We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and seated at a cozy booth. We decided to start our meal with the aptly named Pot O’ Gold, a sampler platter packed with mozzarella sticks, potato skins, Irish eggrolls, chicken tenders, and onion rings served with marinara, Russian, and honey mustard sauces for dipping. The homemade Irish eggrolls, stuffed with corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese, served lightly fried were phenomenal. They were basically mini Ruben’s in a non-messy package and a must have for anyone dining at Dublin’s!

march2015-dine-cakeFor my entrée I decided on the Fried Scallops, breaded sea scallops with French fries, coleslaw, and cocktail sauce. The scallops were golden brown and cooked to perfection! Derry had the New York Strip Steak, a 12oz steak chargrilled to perfection. Our meal was so yummy and we had a ton of leftovers but it was my birthday so we certainly couldn’t skip a homemade dessert. We decided on the Guinness Chocolate Cake, a rich decadent chocolate cake with Bailey’s Irish Cream cheese frosting. This cake was perfection on a plate. Definitely don’t skip dessert at Dublin’s!march2015-dine-room
